I got so many compliments about my laptop bag I just had to share!
I made this unplanned purchase while at my local Staples store when picking up depleted school supplies for my middle-school son, Ian. When I spotted that lavender-satin-brocade-piece-of-loveliness it won my heart.
Purple is sort of my signature color, (not just for Sonnets, but ever since I was a kindergartner I favored purples and lavender), and the fabric on this functional little number also really reminded me in spirit of one of the double-sided papers I was releasing in the Urban Gypsy collection at the show (shown at below right). That was my little sign from God that this was a green-light splurge.
Lots of people commented on how it reminded them of those pricey but gorgeous Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags. Those little numbers will cost you close to a couple hundred dollars, while my business bag was $69.99 at my local Staples. It’s made by Abbi of New York, and what also thrilled me is that they are one of those benevolent companies you can feel extra good about buying their products from because they give a portion of their profits to charities like The Smile Train.
What a win/win/win!
